"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." (Baccaruda, 12/03).I find it hard to believe that he (Trump) rushed to some hotel to meet girls of loose morals, although ours are undoubtedly the best in the world. (Putin 1/17) Gone but not forgotten. IGWT, Speedy, Bear, BigE, HokieFore, John Burns, Russ, TahoeDale, Dahlonega, Astrorat, Stewart Blay, Oldhoopster, Broadstruck, Ricko, Big Moose.
I'm just seeing this and am saddened. My condolences to his family and friends.
I had a great visit with him at FUN last year about a couple specific cents on display and collecting in general.
He was kind and generous to me with his time,
I'll never forget it.

"If I say something in the woods and my wife isn't there to hear it.....am I still wrong?"
Rest in peace, Stewart. I didn't know him, but I enjoyed reading about his exploits and acquisitions on this forum. A fun blast from the past is Lloyd Mincy's (RIP) travelogue for his trip to Stewart's bank in New York City: https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/456456/stewart-blay-and-i-in-new-york-city/p1
Lloyd's description of his LA Halloween party is also interesting! Too bad the images are no longer accessible.
I was very sad to hear about Stewarts passing. I have known Stewart for almost 30 years, He was a good friend of mine.
We did lots of memorable coin deals throughout the years. Whenever I handled a nice Indian Head Cent collection, Stewart would always buy a few choice pieces and add them to his fantastic IHC collection. I also managed to purchase a few of his amazing Toned Matte Proof Lincoln cent extras.
Pictured above is Jonathan Watkins, Stewart and myself, visiting and talking about Matte Proof Lincoln cents at a show in 2008.
RIP Stewart, you will be greatly missed.

My condolences. I never met him, but I admired how he stoically handled the ups and downs of life. At least that's my sense from afar.
