Now I can relate to the wheat cent bag searchers...

Now I know what the wheat cent bag fanatics must go thru...
My mind races to all the possibilities.
Based on price probably lighting $1000 on fire after resale and fees?

Wow! 100 1960 proof sets - truly unopened. I'd wager those sets are unsealed in that box, but you'll see! Please let us know.
1960 isn't a bad year for varieties, so there's a good chance you might get something there. It's hard to know, but it's probably a pretty safe bet.

There's another one for sale if you think so.
Where?

I’m also curious 😁
$3800, here:

Very interesting, thanks! I would tend to agree with the OP at that price if nothing turns out. @yspsales, did you purchase one of these?
Coin Photographer.
Yeah, that is the one.
Does the box look untampered?
What would JoeyCoins do... lol

Looks exactly what an unopened box should look like IMO. Pretty cool, and rare these days.

Based on the resale of opened sets, one would be starting behind at about $10+ per set.
My proof set addiction aside, that is a big hole.

There are varieties for each denomination, plus the small date/large date cents, plus potential cameos.
And those of us who search proof sets know that runs of cameos and varieties happen all the time. (I struck the mother lode in 1961 proof sets).

That's quite a cube of coins. It's gonna be interesting to see varieties and errors revealed. Good luck. Peace Roy

Is it First Strike eligible?
It is a big gamble....As Clint Eastwood said in one of his movies... "Are you feeling lucky?"

IF it helps you have my permission
That's way above my pay grade for gambling.
I'm with you. Way above my pay grade. I thought about it, laughed about it and then I forgot about it. But good luck @yspsales on whatever you decide.

I'd get the box stickered.
It's definitely "Old Strike" eligible for sure.
Pete
Looks like someone bought it

It would be a very interesting time capsule to open up. What if it were 100 1960 mint sets? I would bet those envelopes would not be sealed. It is also interesting that the lister states in his listing that the envelopes are sealed. Not sure how he would know that. ( I believe that they are sealed, but their is a debate over that)
I'm not sure if I were to buy that box, that I could open it up anyway. How many like that can there still be out there?

I see a second layer of tape which concerns me.
It shows zero in stock but their offer clock is still ticking.
If opened and they were tampered with, guess it would qualify for return?
