To get back to your OP, it's awfully demanding of you to claim a possible new discovery then demand we PROVE YOU WRONG. You should be providing solid data on why you have something extraordinary. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.
Can you explain why the mark between the 9s doesn't match the correct font used for the date? Can you show that the indistinct figure is anything like the 2 used in the date? Or are you just making a wild guess? If you understand the die making process, you should know that these figures must match EXACTLY. Close, or maybe, or I think, isn't good enough. Once again, take the time to learn the minting and die making processes. Guessing does nothing more than undermine any credibility you may think you have
Will be waiting for your proof. Best of luck
This is where we usually just say, pay the $100 to submit it.
I tried to explain why the quarter couldn't be either doubling or an overdate but you saw what happened. It became an argument over The P Word.
We need to turn over a new leaf here on the forum.
We need to quit being mean bullies, and give participation trophies to everyone and make sure to talk to each other as if we were talking to our 5 year old granddaughter.
wow, I see it ... if a $5 gold coin can make it into the quarter bin, why can't a coin with next years date. This seems to be an overstrike of next year, highlighted in yellow. We need to see the entire coin to find other locations with remnant underneath showing.

@jmlanzaf "It became an argument over The P Word."
Oh no! Not the P word!

Let this thread be a lesson, even though I'm not sure what anyone learned.
I'm back on my deck drinking beers. Clouds look like dragons. And overdates.

Pareidolia party!
Are you trying to make @DieHardWithVengence go all John McClane on us?
