Variety coins..Type Sets on PCGS

So I just bought a 2014 $5 gold Eagle MS69 “narrow reed”. I assumed type sets would require the error coins (wide and narrow reeds) but looking tonight, it’s like they (PCGS) ignores the error coins as a requirement to complete the set. Understand this can be a semantics discussion around what a set means, but clearly these error coins are not required (there is only one MS70 for 2014 $5 gold Narrow Reeds, but a lot of people are showing complete MS70 sets, which means not required).
My question is, if you complete a “full set” with all the known errors, will the set receive more points? Will PCGS database acknowledge you’ve added in the error coins (or will it instead just think you have a MS69 coin vs a MS70)?
Thanks for your feedback-
JM

Unless the rules have changed, coins with the E in front of the PCGS number (error coins) **can not **be used in competitive sets.
Is the the coin you are asking about?

If so, then it does not appear to be an error but rather a die variety per pcgs.
I do not know what set you are asking about (others might). If you post a link to the registry page that would help.
However, to determine the set requirement and therefore the points, from the particular set registry home page click on the 'Set Composition' and it will list the set requirements.
Note: in some sets the die variety can be used to count as the basic date or item but with the same points.
Don't know if this help or was to you question.

Here’s the link to this set type on PCGS

I did not see this coin variation listed in any of the type set “set composition” requirements. Assuming too limited of a find and would likely demotivate collectors so they left it out???
Agree, It does not appear to be a requirement for any sets. Here is what the laptop cert lookup had for sets (at the bottom).
It can probably be used for the basic 2014 $5 since it is a variety of one but no extra points. Those type of coins or varieties when required are usually part of a specialty set that requires varieties. Check the Half Dollar set link and can see many variety sets and the Overton ones have hundreds of required coins. Also on dollars.

Appears I can create a first ever set. Any recommendations on how to get PCGS to recognize and provide requirements?
I had seen something previously but had to login to find the link.
After login, click the triple line in the upper left and then Set Request to get:
Then the link to the set request form.
Unfortunately it says not doing new US sets at this time. So...???

Thank you lilolme!
I don't consider it an error.
