Under the variations heading 1989 Fleer Randy Johnson Marlboro is my favorite. For similar reasons I also really like the T220 Coburn Man in Background.

Not sure if this fits what you're looking for but there were also Cantanti back and Bisvalida back versions of some early Panini music "cards".
I really like the Panini ones like your Jimi card there and I collect all sorts of vintage Panini heavily, but I think the variations are far too standard for the OP's intention? Just about every single Panini set from 1963 through 1972 had regular back vs. Valida/Bisvalida, and sometimes more variations than just those too. It is a full set parallel, not too unlike something such as Topps vs Tiffany or Fleer vs Glossy, etc.
so much good stuff so far..... dare i ask if anyone knows if there is a top Pokemon error type card ? I think not having one or a few if there are clear, impactful cards would be wrong, I just never had an interest in them...
thanks

1990 Donruss has about 250 errors/corrections/variations, maybe more.
Juan, since it's rookie, has some appeal.
1990 Topps Ken Griffey JR, blood/scab on arm and no blood/scab on arm seems like a good one to me.
Randy Johnson 1989 Fleer is interesting.
if Frank is appealing not sure why the 1997 Bowman isn't. The missing foil means no name. Beltre and Halladay rookies, Jeter in there also.
Does not exist.
What does not exist?
The bolded part: There is no "corrected" 1990 Topps Griffey without the scab on his arm. Only different ink levels, the oval shape is always there as it is a mark on the plate/negative that was not changed.
This is another example of covid collectors pushing UER cards of stars as rare errors. See also: 1987 Topps Bonds and Sosa "birthdate" error rcs.

The one that stands out to me is the 1999 Pokemon Game #2 Blastoise “No Stage” error card.
The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Or the one. Live long, and prosper.

I pulled these from a box yesterday. These are Dave Meggett. Except they aren't. On the front. At all. They aren't anyone. Or anything. Was thinking maybe I had something very rare and valuable and found one for 10 cents with no bids an hour to go. 😄Was wondering how PSA might grade these. Or if they would nust send them back. Had that before where it was just returned no charge with a note of factory misprint.

I always love the 1981 Fleer "Craig" Nettles error.
Gotcha.
I almost forgot about a big one in nonsports... the 1977 Star Wars C-3PO error card.
1981 Fleer Craig Nettles vs 1981 Fleer Graig Nettles...
1969 Topps Aurelio Rodriguez is a classic error (picture is the Angels batboy).
1974 Topps San Diego/Washington are classic variations.
1981 Red Rooster Gretzky Long Hair
I had forgotten about the Washington National League cards. Too bad there was no Winfield.
The one that stands out to me is the 1999 Pokemon Game #2 Blastoise “No Stage” error card.

The Reuschel switch...
No Outfield...
How about the 1969 Topps Nettles with and without the loop.
1959 SPAHN born in 1941.
1990 Fleer Joe Montana swapped the yards and touchdowns on the back.

The back
100% PSA will send them back.
1948-49 Leaf Hermansk was one I wanted, being a Dodger collector. Not willing to pony up the $ though.
