Grades: both at ms65rd by ngc.

I additionally was leaning toward the 1902 which the majority seemed to like as well.

Here is a guess the grade. These coins are still a challenge for me to photograph so please go easy lol... To make things a little easier, they are both straight graded.

Additionally, which coin would you keep? 1899 or 1902?

Here is a couple videos of the coins followed by pictures.

The pictures aren't that bad, just hard to GTG from...
I was thinking the 1899 was "Unc. details, whizzed" at first but if they both straight graded then my guesses are MS65RD for the 99 and 66RD for the 1902, I'd keep the 1902 regardless of grade though, much more wholesome coin with better color in my opinion :)

Based on the photos I would call both MS62 Red-Brown. They appear to be MS coins that have picked up some rubbing on the high points due to mishandling over the years. The 1902 has much better eye-appeal than the 1899.

I'm not a fan of spotted RD or RB copper so I would keep looking.

I would keep the 1902, I would guess 64RD on it and 63RB on the other.

If a choice is necessary, I would keep the 1902... I prefer the 1899, but the obverse carbon spots put me off.... Cheers, RickO

Neither really excites me. However, I like the 1899 better with its nicer luster. The black spot on its obv on headress a negative. The 1902 not as nice luster wise and don’t like what looks like scratch across face (deal breaker for me). Usually when I buy coins in a slab deal from walkup seller at show those 2 would be discounted accordingly in any offer. Without the grade on holder your not really providing all the data.

I just checked and that's the plastic not the coin, FYI.

Very. They are both very pretty in hand either way!
