I'm happy to say that I finished my Charles III type set with the addition of a 2 escudos coin picked up in a recent auction.

Although complete I will still continue to seek out any reasonable upgrades that I can, as I really just want it to be the best that I can afford to make it.

I want to acknowledge @Boosibri who, very kindly, allowed me the opportunity to purchase 2 key coins in the set, the Mexican one real in PCGS MS63 and the Bolivian four reales in PCGS MS62. Brian, thank you so very much!

I was also able to add, through auctions wins and dealer purchases, two of the other coins that were part of the original set that Boosibri had started before he shifted his focus toward exquisite Latin American crowns. These coins include the suspected non-hoard (as based on coin diagnostics)1774 8 reales from Bolivia in PCGS MS64+ and what I feel is the highlight of this set, the Colombian 4 escudos in PCGS AU58+ with Norweb provenance.

I am still on the fence as to whether or not I want to pursue the completion of the other sets I have started, with perhaps the exception of the world coins that circulated in early America set. I'm currently more than 50% complete with that set and beyond that I think it's a really cool set to have. Also I've been inspired by messydesk's achievement in his completion of the set, which helps me to keep pushing forward, albeit slowly.

Lastly, I just wanted to say that I love these forums and that they have helped me become a better, more informed, coin collector.

If your interested you can view and enjoy the set here
