It might help people educate you if you can explain why you think these coins might possibly be rare.

@nooraden1... It is a 'war nickel' as indicated by the large mint mark over the building on the reverse. It has silver content. It is not rare. Cheers, RickO
As mentioned, your nickel is a wartime nickel. These were minted from 1942 - 1945 and with have the large mintmark, P D or S over the monticello. They are 35% silver. With the condition of yours, might be worth a buck. So yours is just a cool keeper but not worth much.

I thought it was a coin, as I found out it was issued this year, and it's called the War Nickel, as it is known as World War II. This was my information and I believed it is a rare coin in terms of shape and type of silver.
