Great looking coins @Bullsitter
I love that $10 and hope to find one someday. In the last week I received PM's from two different people asking if I saw what the Early $10's went for at Stack's. CAC price guide of $33,000 and sold for over $50,000. Coins in that series have really jumped in price this year.

First time posting this one. Total CAC pop of 14 across all grades. This is the only AU55 CAC. There are only 5 higher, yet a fairly cheap coin.

Great thread, great pictures!
Beautiful old lightly circulated gold. I love 'em!
Most of mine are raw. This is one of the few of mine that I haven't found a nice raw example of yet.

Thanks for all the great coins shown in here.
My late wife and I had an ongoing feud with regards to this hobby because she used to strictly enforce the rule that pre-33 gold coins should ONLY be acquired at spot price with minimal premium limits. Though it was very annoying, must admit that it presented a very interesting challenge.
My local LCS guys knew her diktat and would offer me first dibs on suitable pieces in the raw (including those used in jewllery) whenever it came up.
Had real fun acquiring the following and getting some of AU's graded by ANACS for $14 a piece to keep the missus happy.

1897
1900
1901
1912 Indian head $2.50

1913
1914-D
1915
1908
Another 1913 repeat that had the year mislabelled by the LCS but picked it up nevertheless because it was a bargain.

Cheers.

@skier07 - that 1838 D $5 is my favorite of this thread so far. Gorgeous!
