Any pickups from the Sedwick Auction that was held Thursday and Friday? Someone paid up on this 8E

Any picks ups?

I saw this top pop 8 escudos from Peru go for some fairly strong money.
I have typically observed the Phillip V escudos getting strong money but this NGC 1758 MS63 surprised me a little.

I thought overall 8 escudos auction lots brought strong prices....the one you noted certainly but when you think about it probably worth the price paid for such a spectacular speciman.

I noticed especially nice AU 58's are climbing again to where they were 7-10 years ago.

I PAID UP DEARLY FOR THIS ONE BIDDING AGAINST A STRONG PHONE BIDDER .
    I WONDER WHO THAT WAS?

I SAW THIS COIN IN HAND AT THE RECENT USMEX SHOW. ALL THERE!
    FANTASTIC LUSTER!

Bogota, Colombia, 10 reales, 1848, NGC MS 64+. Restrepo-196.3; KM-107. Blazingly lustrous and sharply detailed all over, probably imperceptibly close to the MS 65 at NGC to which this coin is currently second finest in the census (also tied with an MS64+ at PCGS).

    That's a beautiful coin, congratulations!

I did not bid on anything. Saving my budget for Stacks next week. I was only interested in the Lion & Castle quarter real which had a good selection.
