What's going on with the obverse rim at 12:00 o'clock and at 10 - 2 and 6 on the reverse? If it's the holder, I'd say 65/66. If it's not, I'd say Unc Details - ex-jewelry mount.

Not for me; I do not see the value; $50,000 for a common Peace Dollar according to PCGS Price Guide. I guess its the cost to try to be the number one set in something.

I’d wager the consensus would have been higher if we were guessing from the TrueView, although I don’t think I would have gotten to 67+ personally.
i would've gone 66+ at least from THAT tv. W O W (not a fan of the denticle hits by the date on a 67+)
gratz to tomB for even going 66. i was several points below that from the op pics.
What a difference a photo can make. I would have said 66. It wasn’t very long ago that there were no 67+ Peace dollars (and two graded 68). It took several years after the origin of the “plus” for them to appear. Now, there are many.

I also would have said 66. With the copious tick marks, I dont see how this got 67+ (top pop). It must be outrageous in hand.
I see numerous light luster breaks (and maybe bigger ones near "LI" and "IN"), but the only two miniscule ticks I see are on the eagle, just above the legs. Luster breaks on frosty Peace dollars seem to look 100X worse in a photo than they do in-hand.

Yeah, the TrueView shows a gorgeous coin. Wish I could see it in person.

I agree. Based on just the first set of images, I probably would have guessed 66. But seeing the second set, I was quickly at 67.

Hoard the keys.
I'm at a solid 65.
I agree at MS64-5. I will split the difference at 64+

From those photos I think 65, however, I'm betting that PCGS gave it a higher grade.

Nothing is as expensive as free money.
Beautiful coin. I also would have said 66.

Terrific coin... no point in grading after the result is posted but the 67 spectrum is reasonable if not warranted based on the look of this one
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
From original photo looked like marks on the chin and in the fields but guess they are just toning. Very nice.
LOL, and I thought you were way off at 66, I did not even guess, that's how baffled I was on this one
Cool GTG!
The first pictures got me.

I did not look and I gave it an MS66. When u get to MS66 and above sometimes I have a hard time telling one
grade level from another.

I would have guessed 64.
