A Denver punchmarker

Got 30 rolls of quarters earlier tonight at a favorite Denver area Chase. All they had were customer rolls for me.
Ended up with 16 of these appearing to be VERY freshly stamped, fun! 4 Sally Rides and 12 Mayas total.
Does not appear to be @dcarr work, but I'm no expert :p

It looks like a commercially available punch was used to counterstamp the quarters. Nice work, and glad to see someone swinging the hammer.

    Not my doing.

I note that the side opposite the punch is flattened/distorted (as expected when the coin is not sitting in the die when counter-stamped).

    Interesting.

It’s a shame such a great looking obverse design has to be paired with all of those pathetic reverse designs.

@Kurisu ... Interesting, what area of the country are you in?? Wondering if any will show up in change.... With that many, there should be more. Seems like the individual would have done at least one complete roll. Cheers, RickO

I'm in a metro Denver zip code only about 5 miles from the Denver Mint as the crow flies.
And I agree, I feel like I got to intercept part of a shipment. I'm guessing this person did at least a roll of Mayas and a roll of Sallys. Maybe they did at least a roll of each of the American Women's quarters?

The next question is, what will you do with them?

I'm sure the maker wanted (most of) them to circulate. :*

Oh I agree...I hope he or she made more than 16 of them ;)

Well I'm in at least 2 coin Secret Santas so I'm getting rid of 2 of them fairly soon...going to drop another one in package about to go to a friend...going to Chase this morning to see if there are more rolls too

...Ask if you'd like one

Thanks. I’m looking forward to seeing one in hand. Your very generous. My YN grandson and I missed the 3/roll Maya’s so we’re making a small display with some uncirculated and proof examples. Now this will fit nicely. Couple slabbed offerings and good to go. Until next year when perhaps a3-roll set will be less than $250😳.
    Awesome, thanks again
