Be careful.
What Smudge said except with capital letters.
Safe travels, Vaya Con Dios.
Please explain….should someone be in fear of their life to attend?
No.. just be aware of your surroundings when walking to/from your car😉
Looks like I am missing this one😥
Why do people always say this stuff. I have been going to Baltimore for 30 years and parked at all of the venues and safety has never been an issue.
Does that mean I wear loud blingy jewelry or try to stick out like a sore thumb? Nope. Common sense in ANY surroundings is most likely a good idea.
Well, just Love coins, period.
Show reports please.... Even a live video would be cool.... That can be done with phones now. Cheers, RickO
Wrong thread ... Apologies. Cheers, RickO
I think what they mean is that Baltimore is ranked among the highest Cities for Homicides and Robbery(#2 behind New Orleans) from an ongoing Study of Q2 2022. So yes, please be careful. Not picking on coin show, just concerned about our members.

Im same, being going for years, park right around the convention center, and or harbor shopping, and your fine, Just stay alert, and dont look flashy. Dont wonder a few streets over!
I attended. I skipped out of work early on Thursday and made the 1+ hour drive from the Washington D.C. area. I mostly intended to submit coins to our hosts for on-site grading, but I also made a submission to NGC. Traffic was heavy from D.C. in the afternoon, so the drive was no fun at all. And once there, parking was an issue since my normal parking lot was full. I ended up in a different hotel parking lot that I did not know; however, all worked out well. Lots of comments on safety. I will say that I have never had a problem in Baltimore and the show itself is well guarded. Still, it pays to be very careful.
Once I got there, I headed right to the submission tables at NGC and PCGS. Foot traffic looked pretty reasonable with most dealers appearing to be busy if not overwhelmed. I stopped and spoke with Dave Kahn and his team, and also saw CRO busy at work and some of the local dealers, but I did not stop as I am often only a window shopper at CRO since John has such a wonderful eye for coins. I also did not see Andy Lustig, though I missed that big dealer row until late in the day. Instead, I went straight to the foreign section and purchased an Irish Henry VIII Groat that I needed and a Byzantine piece that I did not need and knew nothing about but that simply spoke to me. Both were from Steve Damron, who I really like. I also dropped a few coins off to dealers I know to see if they are interested in buying, including one to a medal dealer.
Overall, a very satisfying trip and I left with almost nothing left in my bag, except for the two coins I purchased from Damron. We'll see how the offers work out. I'll be back on Saturday to pick up my coins which are already graded-with mixed but not entirely unanticipated results.

that 2nd picture is too far
I was there from Wednesday set-up through Friday. Skipping Saturday this time, for a number of reasons, which was the plan from Day 1. As it turned out, I'm glad I left when I did, because I was pretty much done by Thursday afternoon. I'm thinking that Whitman may have taken a step in the wrong direction by lengthening the show with a Wednesday dealer set-up. Nowadays, shorter shows make more sense. If it were up to me, I'd let dealers set up on Thursday evening and open to the public on Friday.
Anyway, I bought only one (very) significant coin at the show, for my collection. Also another great coin at the Syd Martin auction. Not an impressive looking pile, but no complaints whatsoever!

No, but I had a connecting flight in Baltimore 30 years ago.
Throw a coin enough times, and suppose one day it lands on its edge.
Yes don’t ever go to Baltimore….it’s very scary there nowadays at the show ESPECIALLY at this time of year… Halloween. In fact I was absolutely terrified by this young gang and feared for my life.
