Fans upset with Bill Belichick

Some Pats fans are upset with Bill Belichick's treatment of Mac Jones, do you think Mac Jones is on his way out of New England?

NFL Fans Are Crushing Bill Belichick For How He's Treating Mac Jones

New England quarterback Mac Jones was benched in the second quarter of Monday night's loss to Chicago.

Making his first start since Week 3, Jones completed just three of six passes for 13 yards and an interception before being removed after just one quarter.

While a performance-based benching isn't unheard of in the NFL, many fans are wondering why Jones was given such a short leash on Monday night if he was reportedly healthy coming into the game.

After Belichick refused, or talked around, questions related to Mac Jones postgame, reactions to the New England quarterback situation began to hit social media.

"Bill Belichick and Patriot fans to Mac Jones," a Jets fan tweeted Monday night.

Others compared the current Patriots' quarterback controversy to the Brady and Bledsoe days in New England.

"Belichick did Mac Jones like he did Drew Bledsoe," Freddie Gibbs tweeted Monday.

Some even went as far as implying Jones could be on his way out of New England based on the current situation.

"Bill Belichick on his way to send Mac Jones to Indianapolis," PointsBet Sportsbook said Monday evening.

Bill Belichick and the Patriots will hope to bounce back from their loss to Chicago in Week 8 when New England takes on the New York Jets.

Please, Mac has absolutely underwhelmed and turns the ball over too much as well as gets sacked way too much.

Zappe provided a spark and deserves to be in there

It's a crazy thing, the starter goes down and the backup comes in a gives the offense a spark, it's always been fascinating to watch these situations unfold. I would go with Zappe, he seems to be the best option right now. Here's what Mac Jones had to say about being pulled last night.

The kid said all the right things and I pretty much believe him, he seems like we'll grounded kid, I doubt he is deep in hoodies doghouse but really performance is the bottom line and in my opinion Zappe is performing better

I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed in this whole situation, I would like to see more drama unfold. Whatever happened to the days when players defended their quarterback, and cried at press conferences.

    The Patriots are really disappointing.

They show some signs of life and then they get blown out by a bunch of stiffs, like the Bears.

Man, I want to see some drama, I want to see Bill Belichick get upset at the press conference like Terrell Owens.

In all seriousness, I like and respect Bill Belichick, he's the GOAT coach, and I hope he breaks Don Shula's record.
