No surprise that it's rare. The doubling isn't as apparent as some of the other DDR Buffs. It can be easily missed if one is doing a casual search.

i've looked for the 17 and 18 off and on over the years to no avail. the motto doubling is a strange animal.
there is a small change i accidentally put back an 18 a few years ago as the doubling as mentioned above is kinda minor and easy to dismiss as deterioration and/or md.
With the wear so often seen on these nickels, that is an easy one to miss. I have a lot of Buffs, I guess I should put that one on my list of things to check. Cheers, RickO
