Who are some athletes that didn't deserve to win their award, like for example, most people believe that Eric Crouch didn't deserve to win the 2001 Heisman trophy, that the award should have went to Rex Grossman.

Aaron Donald didn't deserve to win the 2020 NFL Defensive Player of The Year award, T.J. Watt did. He led the league in every major category except for forced fumbles, and played 1 less game. He was a beast that season.

He deserved it IMO.
Wanted to add that Crouch “deserved” this award from many who felt he won it.
The title should say “disagree with” instead of didn’t deserve.
Many close races where both or two players deserved to win.
