ebay feedback question

lkeneficlkenefic Posts: 8,169 ✭✭✭✭✭

I'm looking at an item from a seller with a transaction rating of 189 but with 0% positive feedback. When I go to the "Feedback" page it looks like he actually has all positive transactions (211, buying and selling) but hasn't sold anything in over a year. Does this affect the feedback score?

I believe the FB percentage only goes back 12 months.

That makes sense... thanks! This particular seller has been with ebay since 2005. It looks like the last time he got feedback was as a buyer, but he has 139 sales transactions (again, all over one year ago). Thanks!

if you want you can search what a seller has sold (feedback will not reflect those items if no FB is left) to get a feel for what they've sold within the time frame those items show on that page. it can be quite useful.

glad you see the transaction number vs the feedback number as the average i've been seeing is that sellers get roughly half feedback of their transactions. sometimes even far less! (that is a very discussable topic)

I always leave feedback to ebay sellers. I do not buy a lot there, maybe one transaction in six weeks.... But if I am satisfied with product/price/delivery, then I leave good feedback. If something is lacking, I also leave feedback, but limited by what I was not happy with.... rarely happens. Cheers, RickO

I typically leave feedback for both buying and selling... I get feedback more as a buyer than as a seller. I've never gotten a negative feedback...

I would be wary of a seller with no sales for over a year and go by their percentage of recent positives, which is now 0.
