Not used to seeing the swirls mixed in with the PCGS NASDAQ:CLCT lines. Thanks for any help.

The swirls (I believe) began earlier this year, so it would be suspect on a coin slabbed in 2016.
Certainly can't say for sure but it looks like it could be okay.
I just checked and the luster, lights and angles thread I did and I used a holder from this generation (6.0). You can check it out and see how the hologram changes (a lot) depending on the angle of the light to the slab and camera. Those 'swirls' show up in several of the photos.

The constant changes in labeling are not good. They need a consistent product so confusion such as this does not exist in the marketplace.
Trying to stay ahead of the counterfeiters
Is the coin slabbed in 2016 or a 2016 coin?
I look at the coin and if the coin is authentic and it's properly graded, I just assume the slab is real and not counterfeit.

The letters appear to be not as well defined.... I would say questionable without seeing the rest of the slab.
The more I look at it, it's 2 parallel strips of hologram that don't quite line up with each other!
Thanks for the help. BTW, it's a PCGS medal, so evaluating the "coin" didn't help much.
While not being able to evaluate the coin, seeing the entire label can help with the slab. I do not recall seeing a fake slab that has reproduced both the gold center bar and gold G (in PCGS) correctly on the reverse label. Also even though the front label is more basic often small items are off there also.
