when you typed, " The guy was an oak " that's when I thought of the San Diego Conquistadors, and then i thought of Wilt...

That's funny if it is Rick Barry........I was waiting for the water to heat up this morning to make my coffee, and I was thinking about this question......... I thought, Julius Erving?.....Nah......Then.......I tried and tried to remember the name of that guy who played in the ABA and then with San Francisco in the NBA.(?) ...Been trying to remember his name all morning!!!!..... I could picture his face but not his name......Senior Moment.......He was my pick for the answer.......It was Rick Barry!.........If I'm right I can't believe it....Thanks Galixico!......Right or wrong my old senile brain is more at ease now.........Rick Barry........THANKS!
One of the Great Ones.....More or less forgotten now.....
P.S. I had a problem with my bank checking account yesterday.... I consulted with the Lovely Mrs. Hydrant about it......She said, " Don't you remember?..... You had me pay that bill online last week......You're getting old.".......I agreed.....
YEP!.....
Rick Barry!
One of the best shooters of all time.

And the Granny Free Throws
Skinny as a bean pole coming out of college. A lot of people said he wouldn't make it. Took the Warriors to the title mid 70's.
His sons were pretty good in the NBA also.
