Penny Blank Planchet Error Coin .

Hi guys I have this coin it's a good coin because nothing on it.

    It is not an error.

    The mint has distributed these occasionally for years. For example, the kids' collectors set of a few years ago.

    They also occasionally turn up having missed being struck. But there's no way to tell them apart.

    Yep, my sons used to get them as giveaways at coin shows when they were younger.

    All of that being said, blank planchets are still great collectibles.

    Now what you need is the 3-piece set: A blank, a planchet (with the proto-rim from the upset mill), and a struck coin.

    If you do it with quarters (a lot more expensive), you can add an electrical box knock-out.
