I am not an expert on errors, but I think that is the real deal.
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
I don't think so. The edge seems ragged.
I would say yes. Nice find!

the sandwich filling looks odd but the clip looks legit and blakesley helped convince me.![;) ;)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
Yes, it’s legit.
The edge within the clip is somewhat weird, but does show the “cut and tear”.
Yes, genuine, Struck on a curved-clip planchet.
Nice!

glad i read the definition again.
blakesley effect
this was what i really needed to read to get my brain back on track:
"The Blakesley effect reflects the fact that this area of the planchet was never upset. The deficit at the opposite pole prevents the upsetting mill from squeezing the planchet at this point and pushing up a proto-rim."
Woohoo! I'm going with the "experts" thanks your feedback everybody!!!
I know the assumption would be that I pulled it from a roll...But this actually was a "real deal"!!!
It was a purchase for about $5! Awful seller photos so I went with my gut for 5 bucks![ ](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/blush.png)
Terrible seller photos of it raw and arrived like this lol, he almost got the staples through lol. And it was an already used flip so it was floating around in there...it was inside a folded piece of paper with a bunch more partial staples.
I'm happy! Maybe this one is going to ANACS next weekend during the Denver Coin Expo, I've got a coupon for two free grades from them![ ](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smiley.png)
