Why I Like Buffalos: 1916 S

I really love honest buffalo nickles with a bit of toning. I have noticed that somewhat lower grade and not “pop top” can be quite nice. I apologise at the quality of photos:

@7Jaguars... Nice Buff.... I like the Buffalo nickel as well and have many of them. Though none with tarnish...
Cheers, RickO
Nicely struck for a 16-S. Slight weakness near the date and rear leg.

I like the way the design fills the entire coin.
less and less "Nice" coins seem to be available each year so grab some while you can yours is "very nice" congratulations!
Nice 16S. Other than value in a gift, I would as soon have another complete AU58 set of Buffs as an MS63 set. Sorry @ricko but I like the color that a little wear gives them.

Yes, absolutely me as well. This coin is actually graded MS 64 and has prooflike fields that do not seem to show in the pictures. Some of the other 'teen "S" mints can be had for relatively little as well...

I was just going to say it looks 63-64 going by the pics.
A very nice 16-S👌👍
