The holiday package surcharge goes into effect today - this includes most classes of mail that eBay sellers regularly use.
"In anticipation of the peak holiday season, the USPS® has announced a temporary price adjustment for key package products. These surcharges will go into effect in October 2, 2022 and will end on January 22, 2023."

The price increases, which will range from 25 cents to upwards of $6 per package, would go into effect on October 2, 2022 and last through January 22, 2023 for individuals and businesses on mailings that include Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express and First-Class Package Service.

$0.75 increase for PM and PME Flat Rate Boxes and Envelopes.

$2.80 increase for Zones 5-9, 11-25 lbs.

Holy crap. More money for less service.
I tend not to ship packages during the holiday season. I try to either get it done before, or buy online and have designated alternative delivery. Cheers, RickO
stores are doing it. smaller product same ole price, just saying
I noticed first class packages are about a dollar more.
I have to look at "Pirate ship" rates. I think they said they're not raising to the holiday rate.
Edited for update- Pirate Ship is also charging the 'new' rate.
