Thanks for Having me.
This is my first post, so if I do it poorly, please excuse me.
My name is Doug and I live in Southern Indiana. I spent 13 years active duty Navy where I started collecting... sadly during the junk wax Era.
I recently started up again and have been so excited about the hobby. I don't collect or buy to flip, I collect for the fun of it.
When I started I was buying everything (manufacturer wise) under the sun. Now I'm limiting myself to Baseball; Topps and Bowman only. I know it leaves out a bunch of really decent products, but it saves on money needed for food, LOL.
I've been reading posts here for about a month and think I've learned more about cards, card buying and the basics of card "grading" than I've ever known before. So thank you to the card masters out there who freely share that knowledge.
Again, thank you for allowing me to join,
Doug

Hiya Doug
Welcome buddy!
I'm retired Army been on board here for 18 yrs or so.
I appreciate the candor about the junk wax era and stuff.
I think I tried to corner the market on anything from SLU's to POGs!
What did I learn?
Rule 1: Establish a very narrow "Focus." Rule 2: Establish a strict "Budget." Rule 3: "Never" ever, ever break rule 1 & 2.
Best of luck.
The old Warrant Officer (a really good guy) saw me coming and sold me anything he had.
Yes, narrow focus and a tight wallet. Hard learned lessons. But, with all things (mostly, LOL) with age comes wisdom.
Thanks for saying hi @Stone193
Here are few of my recent buys. Gonna miss Yadi and rumor has it that Arenado will be sticking around for a little while longer. Go Cards

Welcome Doug! Thank you for your service. Also, since you are a Cards fan you should check out Shane's Cardinal autograph thread. It is on page 2, and it is one of the most impressive autograph collections on these boards.
While I was waiting for approval to join I cruised the different posts and saw that one, wow is all I i can say. That man has put a lot of love and effort into his collection and I admire it to the highest level.
Thank you for the welcome, BTW. Glad to be here.
