I needed this type and liked the coin!
So now I have 1806, 1818 & 1831 quarters.

Underrated series.
Nice coin!
Beautiful coin. That is the type of piece that would entice me to buy it even if I didn't "need" it because the overall appearance would make me "need" it!
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
@asheland ... Very nice quarter.... You are on a roll lately.... Keep up the great acquisitions. Cheers, RickO
Did you hit the lottery? lol Those have been some very wonderful additions to your collection. Congrats and thank you for sharing.

I didn't plan on buying three coins yesterday, but they were all available and like David Kahn once told me, "the best time to buy great coins is when they are available".
I've learned that you better grab them when you can!

Very nice example.
Very nice mid grade example! Good pick up.
Great example!
Underrated series.
Nice coin!> @asheland said:
Would love to see the other two!
That is the B-3 die marriage, R3. Same obverse die with the 1818/5 B-1. It was used later to mint B-3, but you should be able to make out traces of the 5 in the 2nd 8, but was used after lapping for B-3 so almost gone.
Best, SH

Time to celebrate these wonderful acquisitions with a big ole
burrito smothered with cheese and guacamole.
Yummm
Super original! Fantastic example. Congrats.

The other two newps? Or other two bust quarters?
Here’s the haul from Tuesday:
They were in a submission the boss got back on Tuesday. One of the perks of the job is first look at the new arrivals.
These three were all very pleasing to me, so I grabbed them all.

Thank you for that information! I certainly do appreciate it. 👍

You've got a great eye for catching scarce material within the top level of the grade assigned.
Great mid-grade example!
I appreciate that. 👍

I love bust quarters and halves. You had a great day! Congrats on finding examples that you like. I have been having a tough time with that lately.

Amazing piece! I love the Bust Quarters and regrettably do not have an example yet, but I am working on the Open Collar Bust Dimes.

Bust dimes are next on my want list.

Love Bust Dimes. This is my most recent one:
Although only a Good-4 this piece cost me only $30, which I feel was a great price. Fully struck Bust Dimes are rare, most of them seem to have at least one weak spot (this one has quite a few eagle feathers for a Good-4, but this is offset by the weak rim). When you get into VG-F grades you can get really attractive coins fairly affordably, if you can find nice ones of course.

@asheland - that is an amazingly beautiful pickup. It would look great in my type collection as well. Is it for sale?
Absolutely beautiful!
Nice coin.
That is a very nice Bust quarter!
I have a few Bust quarters in my collection, but my main focus were the dimes. It will be interesting to follow your progress with this series.
Happy belated 😉 @asheland
You have good eye and a source…..Congrats and thank you for sharing 🥰
I appreciate that, but unfortunately it's not. I needed it for my type quarters...
