As far as cash-out on the golf tourney. Even though Scottie is a lock for top 20, that was expected. Cantlay is looking fairly good, but the other two are still in the iffy category for top 20.
Bottom line is I doubt that there would be much cash-out value at this time with the tourney only half over. On that $20 wager, maybe around $35 or whatever. Far better at this point considering the fat odds, to leave the money there, in my opinion. Especially with the profit boost.

I know nothing about golf let alone anything about these guys except for Scotty Schefler so it's a dart throw regardless
Well I gotta pick something with a fat 50% profit boost. The odds strongly in my favor.
Also have a 30% profit boost on a three leg parlay, and a 25% profit boost on anytime touchdown. Might play those or might not?
But dam I just can't decide on any of these two games. The logical play is the under on the Patriots game for a few reasons. However as we all know, "logic" doesn't always work with sports betting.

Yes, Burns picked it up on the back nine. Two strokes I think it was.
Win or lose at this point, Galaxy's golf info provided a fun run for the money, and Perk with a very good chance at a nice little score.
Sam I Am birdied his final 3 holes, which was desperately needed. look at the scoring in this tournament. the first 3 rounds were played on 3 different courses, and those guys are chewing those tracks up and spitting them out. if you shot 10-under thru the first 54 holes you missed the cut! Sam was only -1 thru 15 today and that will not cut it in this tournament. then, bingo, bango, bongo on 16, 17, 18 and he's back inside the T20 to give us a real shot tomorrow.
i wish perk had a cash out option, because i'm dying to know what it would be after 54 holes. it's been a heck of a 20-dollar stab, win or lose. the stars have aligned to this point, and fingers crossed it happens just one.......more......round.
did you guys ever dream that you'd be checking golf scores during the NFC & AFC Champ games? 😅

My early SB plays, from almost 3 months ago,are slowly fading. KC out,GB out. Bills only 1 left. Decided to skip final week of regular play and no playoff bets. Went with 4 more SB bets placed on Friday. Rams,Eagles,Broncos,Pats. Maybe I can buy a winner. At any rate that will be it. I don't play prop bets in the SB so hope 1 of these SB bets gets in.
Eagles out. So now I am down to Broncos, unlikely with Bo out,Pats and Rams. Either way I am live at least for SB with both AFC teams. One will get in. If hit SB will just about have bought a winner. Go Rams Sunday then a SB win is a lock.

today -- it's the final round. it'll be over in a few hours, in fact, because all players are on the course already (presumably to avoid colliding too much with the football games)
let's briefly discuss the golf bets we made. Stifler won the tournament. more on him in a moment. CANgetlaid finished inside the top 20, Griffin missed by a stroke, Third Degree Burns missed by two strokes. i kept harping on the cash out option because -- if it was an indeed an option -- i was going to try to nudge perk to pull the trigger. reason being -- and i sound like a broken record -- but it's so, so difficult to connect on 4 guys. i say this because last year i had a heck of a time consistently picking ONE golfer to do so. in fact, there was no consistency at all. i got my ass handed to me. thru two weeks this year, i'm 1-1 each week. better, but not great.
perk lost, but it was a fab attempt. especially considering it was "only" a 20-buck stab. makes me want to vomit that he was in the money for 3 days with a big payout on the line, only to fall out of it on the 4th and final. but think of it this way: with Stifler a shoo-in, it required the other 3 dudes who were on the cusp to play not decent on Sunday, but great. that's not an easy ask. the silver lining is that i made a few bucks and so did stevek. emphasis on "few."
now back to Scottie Stifler. would someone who is smart please bet at least a smidgen on this guy to win every tournament he enters? i feel a sharp pain in my side every time he hoists a trophy and no one here benefits. i would do it myself, but i'm not smart. in fact, this is how dumb i am: i told myself prior to the start of the PGA Tour season that i was going to park a smallish amount on him to win every time he's in a field. then, i didn't honor the conversation i had with myself and he won in his very first start in 2026.
why can't i just be smart for once?
in all seriousness, and i've made this bold statement before, but Stifler is the modern-day Tiger. the guy is just better than everyone else, and he's proven that over an extended period of time. that's greatness. consider this: there were 155 other professional golfers who teed it up in that tournament, yet not one of them could come within 4 strokes of him, let alone beat him. that's spooky good when you think about it that way.
my initials are SS. this SS is going to plop at least 25$ on the other SS every time he tees it up. guaranteed from this point onward. i'm tired of being dumb.
I watched the last hour, hour and a half of the Amex tourney. Scottie had a 6 stroke lead as he teed off on 17, a par three. He inexplicably plunked one in the water and ended up making double bogey. So teeing off on 18 he still had a 4 shot lead. So who else but Tiger ever had that many shots to play with that you can drop 2 shots on 17 and still win easily? Pretty impressive, hope he grabs a couple more majors this year. 🏆

Since he’s off to such a good start I would like to see minimum 7-10 total wins with at least 2 majors this year. I know that’s a lot to ask but he’s capable of it.

Scottie is amazing, no doubt about it. For much of this tourney, Scottie wasn't in first place. Sometimes he'd get the lead, but then another player or two would pass him. However then came the final round and Scottie as he does so often, went into another gear, and pulled away.
Very few like that in golf history. He is a treasure, that's for sure. Unless of course you've bet a player who is competing against him for first place, and Scottie costs you money.
Probably jump in the Farmers waters this week. Had a prelim choice of 5-6 pros to follow this year in the prep for the majors tourneys. That's how I look at the non-majors. They are like the regular season in other sports. The majors are the WS of golf. Handicap the majors totally different and give an edge to the over 30 pros. Also with the majors there are so many top pros the $ is spread out more evenly amongst them. Resulting in better odds.
Just my personal view and how I establish my plays. Not trying to tell anyone how to make their plays.
Good luck to all in your golf picks this year.
P.S. The return of Brooks Koepka this week from LIV. Should be interesting to see/hear crowd response.

Well I think ya had the right idea. Playing the spread dogs. I mean I've never seen a league before go thru a season with so many form reversals. Even tonight with OKC, they won the game, but didn't cover the spread.
That being said, I am having some success in various ways with certain NBA props, mostly player points. So I'll stick with that for now, because looking for ML team win value in the NBA, which worked pretty well for me last season, it's cost me money this season.

Looking at it again, I see you played the ML dogs. Couldn't have possibly gotten to 42K for a deuce on the spread. Again though, ya had the right idea, in my opinion. Very interesting flyer based on the craziness of the NBA this season.

yes it was a dogs ML parlay. i was bored. lol
i hit the first leg...............then lost the next 6
i was close
it got me to thinking though. if i kept taking stabs like that and got the same(ish) odds, all i'd need to do is hit it once out of 21,000(ish) attempts to break even. i can all but guarantee that would happen, considering it's the NBA. there would be one illogical night when every big dog won.

This is what that same bet would look like if I made the bet today so I got great odds at the time of the bet
Sam Burns needs to pick things up a little bit.
Only thru 12 today, but we need to get a birdie or two out of him, to be in better position for tomorrow.

hey ya Galaxy 🚀🛸🌠
I was Horse🐴ing around on the Web Site which is an Online Auction; you to where you can buy & sell items...
I know that you're a Bears guy...

and did my normal routine search on Tudor Material; ran across this one, and said to myself: Gotta Hit Up Galaxy on this...
✓ Check it out...

IDK, perk may claim the title with his 4 player parlay.😀

Richard Dent 💪, Steve McMichael (RIP) 💪, William Perry 💪, Dan Hampton 💪
I put in another dart of top 20 players to take advantage of this boost
When does this thing finish?
@perkdog
today -- it's the final round. it'll be over in a few hours, in fact, because all players are on the course already (presumably to avoid colliding too much with the football games)
the dust will settle during the Pats game
Gotta use the fat 50% profit boost on something, so I decided to make perhaps the worst bet in the history of sports:
Stidham 1Q over 44.5
here we go
-6083.64
Hit it within the first five minutes of the game. LOL
Great job!!!
i did not like that 1st quarter one bit
-
I'm ashamed of myself for winning the dam thing.
Why?
Awesome win lol
The PGA three we need are playing well. But some others are playing better, and have gone by them.
Gonna be close. Looks like it could be a photo finish.
Time of possession favors Denver. Pats defense needs a rest. Need a long scoring drive here.
Threw in a ML Rams bet. Go Rams.
Same here, I'm with ya!!
The slugfest is on.
