@stevek agree. i was counting sheep, so i didn't see what the live line was after the first quarter. they of course are the Thunder, but another reason i liked them is for the very reason i lost my Bucks bet -- the Clippers had played a tight game the night before. and Kawhi Leonard was out. so i am 1,000% with you -- hopping on OKC after 12 minutes would have been as astute play
i am going to start paying closer attention to teams that play BTB games. it's taxing, especially when you're on the road

In my view the key to success in this sports betting thing, is going against the herd, and finding the value. As we all know, that's easier said than done, especially in the moment of live betting.
I can't recall the game, but I remember last season in a NBA game, a good team was down by quite a few points, I think it was around 20 or 25, starting the 4th quarter, and I thought there's no way they're losing by that number. So I made a live bet, then a few minutes later it went up to around 30, and then made another larger live bet, sort of a martingale, and the final score was by around 35 or 40 points. Took an absolute bath on that game, but learned from it. At least I think I did. 🤔
I have been doing better at live betting, even slightly profitable. However I apply caution every time when considering it. And one important factor is considering things that the computer might not pick up on in the odds fluctuations.
Yes, trying to successfully do all that and make it profitable, may be a form of madness. I have not ruled out that possibility. LOL

I mean how do ya handicap some of this chit in the NBA? The Clippers two star players were out for this game. Jones and Collins are right underneath them in team scoring. So I figured they'd get all sorts of action in this game. Well the friggin' coach doesn't even start Collins in the first quarter, and Jones had only 2 points in the first quarter. Are you kidding me?
I ain't complaining about the props, because they both barely made the totals I played. But not playing those two as much as they should have played, had to affect the game score, which I lost.

fellas i did a thing last night. i was at a 🏀 game and whipped out my phone to see what the Den-LV score was. 2nd quarter, Raiders up 7-0, Broncos with the ball around midfield. stevek and i had been talking about live betting, and at that moment i felt the compulsion. it was time.
i stuck my bet in and never opened a browser again for the rest of the night. i didn't want to be that guy. you know, the bag of douche at a public event with their 👀 glued to their 📱 the entire time. i even took it a step further and told myself that i wouldn't find out where the dust settled until this morning.
when i woke up, i covered my eyes and pulled up my balance online. whew. then i went to espn, saw the score, then examined the play-by-play. i was very fortunate. by the skin of my teeth. had i eaten that 500$, i was going to come on here and kvetch for at least 1000 characters about the (now) 8-2 Broncos getting punked by the wretched, deplorable and moribund Raiders at home. believe you me, it would have been insufferable. 😬
because of the impromptu and unconventional nature of that wager, it's not being included in my P/L figure. only ones i'm able to post before the contest happens. but it provides some nice ammo heading into the weekend.
