Does anyone have any pictures of proof coin packaging from the 19th century?

I'm looking for any images of truly original proof coin packaging - straight from the mint from the 19th century. I'm highly skeptical any pictures exist, but I thought I'd try here. Thanks!

Thank you for that! I was looking more for the traditional packaging that your average Joe would end up with (envelopes and such) but those dignitary like presentation sets are great to see as well!

This one's from 1893.

1891 - looks like the same handwriting.

1888 - not an envelope, or a "Regular Joe" thing, but a beautiful 1888 proof set that's up for auction right now.

That's perfect! Thank you so much for that. No doubt as to the originality of that set - the toning patterns are so similar and the dollar looks like it has a place where the dime was on top of it for an extended period of time. Amazing!

I can't resist! A name from my hometown. Ralph H. Poole was the son of Abram Poole who served in the quartermaster's department during the Civil War and was involved in the battles of Chickamauga, Chattanooga, and Atlanta.
All the Pooles were immersed in literature and the arts : one of the most interesting families of the period. Mr. Poole was later a member of the Chicago Board of Trade. He came to Lake Forest and built one of the first homes on the
bluff overlooking Lake Michigan, in 1884. He named it "Elsinore." In 1931, it was torn down and in it's place was built a summer retreat. The view is from the lake.
And this is what I call provenance! This is super interesting. Research is off to a good start!

Is it "Raph" or "Ralph"?

It is incredible that envelope survived 131 years.... Very interesting. Cheers, RickO
It is "Ralph" who commissioned his own house in 1911 and completed in 1914 in neighboring Lake Bluff.
