I have had this penny in my collection quite a while now,, And Im pretty sure it's an "error" because the chunk that is missing out of it looks like it was machine made during the making of the coin, because the way the letters start to deform into the piece that is missing. Also it's perfectly smooth all the way around just like all pennies. It's not man made but a machine did it .. so if there's anyone interested let me know

Looks to be a clipped planchet.

@530_Outlaw... That does appear to be a clipped planchet... even appears to have a mild Blakesley effect. If you are selling, you should list this on the Buy, Sell, Trade (BST) forum. It will have more exposure there. Cheers, RickO
Not at all uncommon. Here is one along with a quarter that recently sold on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/225144782531?
I suspect yours may be worth $5 or so.

Kool thanks for the information. Also My girlfriend found a gold dime. And it don't appear to be dyed or colored because that definitely woulda rubbed off over time. I have never seen one and couldn't find any when I looked online. Have any of you come across any or seen one before
The dime is absolutely plated. No question whatsoever. This was especially common in the 1970s and 1980s when such pieces were sometimes used in jewelry.

Is it rare or collectible or worth anything other than the 10cents
It's worth ten-cents. That's it.
