I received this coin in a recent Stack’s Bowers(SB) auction.
The auction lot description said nothing about being in a prior auction
I have not yet contacted SB to ask if they know anything about the Cincinnati Art Museum Collection auction.
I did check the Cincinnati Art Museum
website but didn’t find anything.
This is a long shot (way back in 1977) but anyone here familiar with this auction?

Searched 'Cincinnati Art' at NNP

There were several results but all seemed to be just stating it happened and was:

Might be more there if you spend more time looking but then maybe not.
