White coin edge does not always mean silver.

During my usual counting down the registers as my part time job, I noticed a "white" edge on a quarter. Turns out it was some form of visual anomaly which got my pulse racing under the premise of silver for face value. I just thought that I would share on a Friday.

Have a great weekend!

@oih82w8... I have seen that 'silver edge' on modern quarters... Does increase the heartbeat for a minute. Nice Two Cent coins... Cheers, RickO

Can we see the obverse and reverse of this coin?

I will have to get back with on this, the quarter is on a shelf back at the house.

I was mostly curious as to the date and to see if it may have been silver plated.

    Excellent point @oih82w8!

Also, copper/reddish edges on Kennedy halves does not always mean 100% clad. It could very easily be a 40%'er. (CRH'ers, double check the dates when "edge" roll searching)

I got a '65 quarter in change a while ago and it didnt exhibit the "clad" edge. I was pretty sure the silver quarters stopped in '64, so I checked it out, and it is not silver. Got my hopes up for a minute.
