Coin Collector, the fun of the hunt and pride of ownership
From what I’ve read here the collectors are far more likely to have fun. Lot’s of stress and complaints from the dealers. Which seems about right to me as dealing with the public, educated or not, is way more stressful than catching and/or releasing and the enjoyment of the hunt and pride of ownership which all indicate collecting is fun. The exception is the occasional bad purchase 😁

I think Collectors, generally, have more fun. If not, then most of us aren't doing it right.
Dealers, generally, have to make a living at being dealers. And while I think you can and should have fun and enjoy your job, operating a sustainable, for-profit business is not always fun.
Collectors and dealers should both be able to have a lot of fun.
While there always can be not-so-fun aspects to one's job, that can happen for hobbies too, such as not getting a grade bump or bean, seeing some spots or PVC, not having enough budget to get the coin you want, etc.
Collecting isn't stressful unless too much emphasis is placed on money or another aspect which doesn't have anything to do with actual collecting. It's a hobby. Why would it be stressful?

@ErrorsOnCoins you are amazing on how you juggle it all; keeping your family happy as well as being successful in your business……oh and have time to yourself too (fish fish fish) ☺️
Keep it up cause you’ve done it right to the T
Coin Dealer, the fun of being emerged in numismatics and no worries if you loose a coin at auction.
I like setting up at shows the thrill of the bourse, free coffee & donuts, and deals that come by my table whether buying or selling. It’s an exciting atmosphere I just don’t get from the online part of the biz.
There's great parts to both. But honestly, it's hard to let go of a coin you like a lot or one you'll have a hard time finding another example of, and I imagine dealers have to do that on a regular basis.

There are many more collectors than dealers, so it stands to reason that collectively, collectors are likely having much more fun than dealers.
coin collectors
The best way to ruin a perfectly good hobby is to do it for a living.
Probably the dealer who is also a collector.
