This Coin Forum Search feature - Help

Hi,
I have tried to use the "search" feature on various topics in the US Coin forum to avoid duplicate topic questions and to get quick and helpful information, but most things show up as old stuff dated like 2007, 2015, etc. and I have no way to get to the more recent related discussions on these searched topics without going through a list of 100's.
Do others think it would be helpful for PCGS to add a posted date feature to this topic search? For example, so I can say search only last month, year, or all?
Or is there an easy way already that I have not figured out?

I have had the same issue.
No offense to our host, but it is in need of a fix. It's only returning a small percentage of the search criteria, and the remainder is very convoluted and not really accurate. Over the years, I've done many searches before I start a new thread, Then I find the thread that I'm posting has already been posted earlier.
I find the best way is to use google search, restricting to the site forums.collectors.com .
For example, to search for Gardner, type this in the google.com search box:
site:forums.collectors.com Gardner
If I want to find something I posted, then I add my username to the list of search words.
Even on a good day, the search feature here is clunky.

I have found that adding the current year tends to surface more recent results. For example, instead of “large cent” search for “large cent 2022”.

Funny thing is that before the upgrade it worked quite well and everyone complained. Now it doesn't work at all. There are a few old threads I'd like to find but they'll be on page 200 of anything I search.
it SEEMS to me it would be an easy fix. the drop down box for search for by date simply needs some more, extended time options. i presume that is the quickest and easiest. perhaps 2, 3 and 5 years?
The search function has always had complaints. Some valid, and some it seems user related. Cheers, RickO
