I don't understand the pricing for the 1955 sets. Virtually all of the 1955 box sets I have seen were not nice because of the packaging. The plastic sleeves the mint used that year caused the silver coins to acquire ugly tarnish which can't be dipped from the pieces. The same is true for about half of the 1954 sets. The 1955 flat pack sets are almost always better. They should be worth more.

1954 is $110
1955 is $110 whether box or flat pack. Historically the flat pack has always been more for the '55 but the box caught up.

Years ago, I'm talking about the early 1970's, the sealed boxes for early proof sets went for large premiums.
That was until one day a dealer opened one box and found it was full of washers.
The premium died that day, as word got around.
