The fields are well represented in this Trueview. They are very clean. Cartwheel luster in hand. The details in her hair are a bit flat in the trueview compared to the “in-hand” appearance. I’ll reveal the grade this evening.

Beautiful coin, and this is exactly how I like my Peace dollars as well (bright, white and lustrous). PCGS tends to be tough on these (see my recent 1924 GTG thread), so while yours has the eye appeal of a 66, I’ll guess that it’s in a 65 holder. The hits in the hair, near the eye and neck, and in the field above the eagle might support that grade as well. Looking forward to the reveal.

A few marks in the hair, by the eye and on the neck, above the eagle in the field. Might be a 66 though. Cheers, RickO
MS64 due to the large scratch behind the eagle’s back.

65, nice looking Peace Dollar.

I'm at a 65 for all of the same reasons above. The marks in the hair under TRVST and on the neck of the obverse and the large mark in the field above the eagle's back I think are too much for a 66. The luster looks to be fantastic and is what would be preventing the marks from bringing it down to a 64. It's got just the right balance.
65 from me, purely for the hits already mentioned here, but I will add I can see this in a 66, easily.
The thought of that scratch leading to a details grade didn't even enter my mind. And the same goes for downgrading the coin to a 64, either. But that makes two of you, so far, who are swayed considerably by that flaw.

I’m in the MS65 camp. Nice

I think the scratch on reverse and digs below bust will hold it to 65. I hope not as it is a beautiful clean fields Peace Dollar and deserves a 66. Very nice example.

I see some 'orange peel' texture in the fields - I like it.

You guys did very well on this one. Some of you were spot on. Seeing it in hand, I don’t think it would look out of place in a 66 or 66+ holder. I was really drawn to this Peace by the luster that just drips off of this coin.
Thanks for your participation! 😎

Looks much nicer in the slab pics. I would have said 65 if you used those pics. The scratch looks much worse in the TV and the luster looks more subdued in the TV.

I think the coin looks better in the first set of pictures. I would have guessed 65 instead of 66, based on the new ones.😉 Of course, either way, I’d be off by half a point.

Wow, spot on! I thought the chatter on the neck and slightly less than full strike held it back from 66. Nice coin!
MS65. Good to see gutter without the nasty toning. RGDS!

Perfect grade for that coin; 66 luster and eye appeal, the few marks pull it down just a wee bit.
What a cool GTG, I like those hard to figure out threads - I knew that scratch was "magnified" , but I really don't get the uber minority that mentioned unc details.
since it is a newer style holder 65+, i gotta believe sans reverse scratch, this is probably a 66+ coin but we don't live in the world where this coin doesn't have the reverse dig. although, now i follow it, i see it connects to a rather rough area of the wings and perhaps a dig where the wing meets the field.
