PSA - CU Forum EDIT Bug

for those that don't know, be a bit wary when editing your thread or post as you may get a bug where it disappears, so if you have anything important/extensive etc, you MAY want to copy/paste into notepad/word or whatever until you see it successfully posted.

ALSO be careful (i've been getting this one A LOT)

i think the save draft time has been increased, which is good, so we don't lose what we've typed BUT because it saves/refreshes so often, the odds of your clicking submit WHILE it is in the process of saving your draft, the button actually becomes unusable for a split second but because it is doing it so often, the odds of clicking submit while it is saving is pretty high. based on my mileage but YMMV

as i sit here, i can see the buttons refreshing about every few seconds.

just on the off-chance this may help the tech people, which seem to have their hands full just now, here is a screen shot i took NOT knowing it was part of the forum edit bug. i was just going to report it as a general bug until i saw the post i was trying to like disappear.

I’ve noticed that when I reply to anyones post, it doesn’t bump it to the top and acknowledge that my comment is new. Is there a possible fix to that issue?

This is the bug for me, exactly...

Edit once and save, no problem.
Edit a second time within a mystery period of time and poof. Always.

I have had it do that but after a period of varying time (could be 1 minute or a few) it then gets registered so to say and bumped. Sometimes works almost immediately.

This has been happening to me since the new layout/format of the discussion boards (so a couple years now). My replies to other people’s posts just don’t register as “new” on any thread. It’s part of the reason I don’t post very often, because I know I won’t get a reply or anyone will even see it. Not sure what to do?
