Also there was a new article about it because it all just got cleared for the homeowners to get paid once the coins go to auction. Very strict laws about found treasure in the UK.

lol. i searched after i saw the other thread and didn't find anything cuz i KNOW i've seen that image before. i saw it was from 2019 so most likely there is a thread out there somewhere in the archives listed under some obscure title?

The U.K. laws are stringent regarding found treasure, and quite clear. Instituted to (hopefully) preserve artifacts of their history. They certainly have a long and interesting history there. I was on a business trip and one of my British contacts took me to his house. 225 years old at the time... Cheers, RickO
