Results on 1799 1c and a thank you to all

Ok so the Draped bust 1799 came back as date couldn’t be made out, should have done some restoration on it. As for the others I took in your comments and started restoring them so as to not have this happen again so thanks you. At this time I’ve only had time to work on the quarter but I think it’s coming along nicely tell me what you think.

😂🤣😝😂🤣🤪 is that mothman in the 2nd pic? 😂🤣🤪😝
Send it back in express tier!!! If the date does not fit, you must resubmit.
You should correct the thread title to reflect the unverifiable date of the cent. And despite your wishes and/or games, the other coin you referenced is also a cent, not a quarter.

You should apply for a job as a mint engraver or at least a restoration specialist at PCGS.
Glad you all approve
But slow down on the whole resubmit thing this one has a little ways to go yet and the 1799 well who know I may break from this one to get it off to TPG
Huh?
Smitten with DBLCs.
Now that it's all documented and laid out out with Microsoft Paint, it's all clear to me now.
There is nothing to see here.

I think maybe different lighting might help
Arrow, gas mask, heart arrow date, arrow arrow boot?
If you stare long enough at the last picture, you will see the same thing as the first one.

What happened to your promise that you wouldn't post any more about them until they come back from authentication? You better get that one off to PCGS as quickly as possible!
That is definitely the problem, a little different lighting and I am sure it would be obvious!
I've noticed taking pictures that light affects the contrast just like shadow's darkens picture, sometimes it's hard to get the camera just right so that the picture shows each and every detail,
The coin shown in this thread is a "Matron Head" large cent, not a "quarter".
I think you knew that because the bottom picture has the obverse oriented perfectly upright.
It is unlikely that would happen unless you had already discerned the Matron Head outline and oriented the coin accordingly for the photograph.
If I squint my eyes just right, I can see the date a being 1815.
Suggest a long soak in olive oil or mineral oil. Periodically, change the oil and scrub it with a brass wire brush to remove any loose scale. After a while you may see the date, but you'll need to wear rose colored glasses to see it.

Are you sure those are coins?
I doubt that will be an issue.
On a more serious note since this thread is at least somewhat discussing restoration, did anyone else see this very impressive job (at least IMO) that was posted on coincommunity.com?

Perhaps an irradiated plasma bath followed by long wave ultraviolet red spectrum lighting would bring out further detail.

If we had a time machine, we could send this coin back in time 223 years. How cool would that be?

If we're going to send something back 223 years, does it have to be the coin?
That sign is wrong. The pictures are actually quite clear and they indicate that the coin isn’t rare or of any meaningful value.

At this point it would seem that the OP is making fools of all of us for continuing to comment…
Including myself…
Here is the time machine:
Once you have your Matron head large cent back from one of the grading services, come back with an update.
Perhaps you should post this under the “This forum needs a little humor” thread.
I keep wanting to recognize the OP for being willing to share the results of his submission with us. But then the other nonsense continues.
Good point, it is commendable sharing the results even though they were not what was hoped for. Thanks for following through.
