Searching through some old coins I found this and I'm unfamiliar with it, can anyone identify?

    Where do you see that? I looked and could not find 2R or 4R or any other indication of value.

    I can't really see that but I'll take your word for it.

    2 reales equaled 25 cents. It's where the expression "two bits" meaning a quarter comes from.

    Someone on the Forum has a pile of old foreign silver that includes coins like this. It's a great little pile of treasure.

    Enjoy it for what it is. And if you decide to wear it on a necklace the hard part is already done. :p
