Coin Show time! Back on the road again, Grapevine, TX and Norman, OK

oih82w8oih82w8 Posts: 11,896 ✭✭✭✭✭

Looking forward to my next coin show. It's been a couple of years, pre-covid, since I have been...anywhere. I am going to head out to Grapevine, TX Sep 23-25, and then there is going to be a first time show in my backyard, Norman OK, Oct 29 & 30. I will post a report and hopefully welcome some new additions and possibly farewell to some others.

Def. Grapevine ... thinking about Norman.

Don't forget Mustang between the two (http://www.coinzip.com/Mustang-Premier-Coin-Show) I like the OK shows because several of the usual dealers from the Houston area don't attend so it's not just the same stuff I saw two weeks earlier in Grapevine.

From the link there appears to be a several more in your area.
Mustang (have to like that name) / Tulsa-Broken Arrow / Texoma - Sherman / and they like the Grapevine as it is listed 3 times
    You could load up.

I plan to be at the Norman show and try to make it to Mustang every once in a while. I was also able to make the ONA show back in May. The new Canadian County Expo Center is a nice facility, but El Reno is harder to get to than the State Fairgrounds and the show seemed kind of dead while I was there although I was able to unload several duplicates at strong prices.

@BStrauss3 I know from your posts that you are very knowledgeable about old slabs, which I collect. If you attend the Norman show will you be there as a dealer? If so keep us posted on which table.

The Broken Arrow show is usually pretty good. Sept 9-11 is the dates. I don't know about the Norman show, but I have heard that grapevine is pretty good, just too far for me to go.

The Norman show is a first time show. They said table demand was so high that they had to change venues, so we'll see. I hope it is a good one and turns into an annual event.

I was attempting to select some of my coins to take with me to Grapevine, TX, next weekend, but I'll just take all of them...just in case someone makes an offer I cannot refuse.

You need a different link...that will only lead people to their own inventories.

    Thanks. I'll work on that.

The sponsor, RHC, already have several iterations lined up on CoinZip: OKC in April 2023 and the 2nd annual Norman show in 2023.

@UpGrayedd I'm not a dealer. I'm always on the lookout for new discoveries for the next edition of the Sample Slab book, however...
