One of the Dirty Girls that followed me home

In case it get's lost in the "back pages" and you want to visit, my show report for the ANA 2022 and a very brief primer on Die States (a dozen posts in) can be found here
Here’s another one of my NEWP’s from the show, for your viewing pleasure. As much as I like some flash and color, finding something with this type of original skin, color and texture is such a treat. I told someone after the auction that if I could find them all like this, I know I would go broke.
This coin was also from Sheridan Downey’s MB#54 auction. From the collection of Tim Osborne, Sheridan described this 1827 O-138 in a PCGS 55 CAC holder as such;
"A majestic coin, original through and through. The crust of antique grey toning is infused with iridescent gold, russet and copper. The R.4 rarity is well deserved and a nifty bonus. Unless you are chasing choice to gem uncirculated bust halves there will be no need to seek a finer example of this 1827-138. From Brian Greer, January 1999."
Yep, that’s a good, simple description ... from the Master.
Love her!

All I can say is that if I wasn't making a conscious effort to wean myself off 27's you wouldn't own that coin today...or at the very least the hole in your wallet would be even deeper. I LOVE that coin in-hand.
Very nice!!!

They have more FUN!
Nice pickup 🥰 any special wine followed the acquisition?
We did. I can't remember the vintner, but it was a French house, a Pinot Noir that our good friend Charlie H. selected, and it was superb
