Can someone help me ID a coin?

I posted this on the world coin forum, but things are slower there. Hoping someone here can help.
I do not know much about it, but hopefully, the pictures will help to identify it. I realize the pictures are not great and there is some damage, but I am hoping they are clear enough to make a distinction.
Thanks in advance...

Looks like something from around the 1600s but I don't recognize it. I'll just throw out a wild guess and say one of the Italian States. At least that's where I would start looking

It appears to be a Spanish silver cob of some type based on the irregular shape of the coin. Probably from the 1600's or 1700's.
