Day 1 ANA Review

Overslept and missed the opening but the show was hopping. Seemed like more people than last year but it could have just been that the space was smaller. It seemed there were more people at tables trying to sell to the dealers than I remember from last year. The one thing that really stuck out to me was that there was a ton of tables with artificially toned coins. Also a lot of people going to dealers and trying to sell artificially toned coins. I know it's in the hobby but the amount I saw at the show was insane.

I'd buy what strikes your fancy. It could be one of the best ANA shows ever!

When I was at Summer FUN, I saw two or three dealers with off brand holders and 100% AT. That surprised me. Did you see raw or off brand holders full of AT like I did?

Yes and brand AT. I've not seen so many rainbow toned peace dollars before!

I only heard one person asking to see an AT dollar but in the end the person didn't like it. Mostly it was the "doctors" selling to the dealers. One dealer asked a doctor if he had anything other than toned coins to sell and the person responded with "no".
