After a long soak in acetone, that coin should look a lot better. Can we get an after pic?

Is your Maryland store ever going to be reopened?
I used to live in Perry Hall, Maryland but I never had a coin shop. The coin shop there was owned by Stu Jones who I knew well.

Very interesting find.... @RobertLahti... I worked in Rockford, Il, for nine months back in 2011-2012. Interesting area. Never found a coin like that when I was there. Cheers, RickO
It should look a lot better once the tape is removed. Aside from what appears to be rim damage at 7:00 on the obverse it looks like either a G6 or VG8 coin. A very unusual find.
Never found anything like that, nor got a Liberty Seated Quarter in change in the 50's. Wow. Great find. Definitely show us photos of the after acetone bath, please.

It was outside of the car wash, at a Mobil gas station in Rockford, Illinois.
We'll see...WHAT? What brought your attention...?

If that's tape protecting the coin, I can't wait to see it after an acetone bath. Peace Roy
