~ Copper 4 The Weekend™ ~

1872 Ulysses S. Grant Presidential Political Campaign Token, DeWitt-USG 1872-4, 28 mm Diameter, Copper.
A very rare second term issue especially struck in copper with dies cut by Frederick Key of Philadelphia which is the only medal or token that displays Grant's Vice President replacement Henry Wilson instead of his former running mate Schuyler Colfax.

JA liked both coins.
How about a half cent?

I have all or almost all of my electrotypes slabbed by IGC. Here’s a few I’ve imaged, won’t get to the rest for a long time as everything is packed up and ready for the move.

an HT 304, common but a neat design. from Coins are Fun.
@coinsarefun , the Higley and Bar cents you showed are way cool, even as electrotypes.
Fantastic!

Thanks much! Another favorite of mine is this one. Don’t know who commissioned it but made by DC and it’s outrageous!

95% of it 🤔🥰
Here is one that is considered the first commemorative coin of the Civil War. Struck by Merriam to commemorate a victory in Newbern, NC in which some Turpentine Works were burned to th ground by retreating confederates. Very rare. This one is the nicest I've seen. Ex. Zabriskie Collection.

nice handful there. thanks for sharing them!
that higley looks just about good enough to get someone into a bit of trouble if they weren't on their A game but that is a rather valuable coin when authentic, iirc, right?
I knew it would happen.

Yes the three hammer even though electro was taken from one of the higher graded
specimens. I can remember the owner of the original, need to look. But here is a Stacks auction of an electro.
