Extra, Extra safety packaging by seller using USPS.

Now this was concern regarding the coin arriving safely by the seller. Coin arrived in good condition. Adding the fact that the coin was wrapped several times in a paper package and then the 2x2. Had the package been shot with a gun the coin would have had a 75% chance of making it. lol

Lol, better than the alternative. I had a seller send me a piece of currency in an envelope with nothing to protect it from bending other than the PMG holder.

Back in 2005 I won a 1908 No Motto Saint on ebay. They threw it “naked” in a bubble envelope, not even an invoice. I was lucky it did not work it’s way out after being tossed around in transit — good news is it graded MS65 😁

Some do a great job of packing.... others not so much. I have had it both ways. Now I try to discuss the packaging ahead of shipment - that helps. Cheers, RickO

In all honesty, I thought there was no coin in the box, it weighed so little and was just wadded up in the packing paper that I thought, oh boy, here we go, but then it just fell out of the packing paper. Voila! lol

I always try to pack up things well as I don't want to be the reason that something get's damaged. I often wonder if someone who gets something from me is frustrated with all of the bubble wrap, cardboard and tape!

Don't get me wrong, I am not upset about the packaging. Just amazed at the size of the box and all the wrapping paper it took to fill it for the coin's protection. I do appreciate the act, just a little amazed.

Was the coin some type of octagonal gold? If so, some might argue it wasn’t enough packaging.

Nothing is as expensive as free money.

How about a picture/description of the coin. I like octagonal coins - Think Norse medals.
