US Mint Auction: 2021 American Eagle at Dusk and at Dawn 35th Anniversary Gold and Silver 1oz Coins

Just saw this press release:

WASHINGTON – The United States Mint (Mint) is pleased to announce the public auction on September 1 of special limited editions of 2021 American Eagle at Dusk and at Dawn 35th Anniversary One-Ounce American Eagle Bullion Coins. These limited-edition coins marking transition between old and new designs were produced during a special April 2021 ceremony. The event featured the striking of the last of the American Gold Eagle and American Silver Eagles bearing their original designs and the production of first of those coins featuring the new design.
I'm curious if there's a hidden reason to get these. Like how the Cheerios dollars were a different strike and thus extra valuable. Does anyone expect these to go for much premium?

There's at least one other thread from a couple months back. All the opinions you need are there.
Maybe I’m wildly mistaken, but I can’t think of why anyone who collects gold & silver eagles is still looking to put a 2021 issued coin in their collection now. (And I collect gold eagles and some special labels, and this offering does nothing for me). These would need to be reasonably discounted for me to give a second look, and they make it sound like they will be priced at significant premiums. They’re almost exactly 1 year too late with these.
Here is the thread I posted about the topic if you wanted to read it:

Thanks. Sorry I didn't see it, I figured since the press release was new this was new info.

You're wildly mistaken. There are plenty of people who will want the "special" coins. Look at what Ryder signed COAs continue to bring on the secondary market.
No need to delete as they are somewhat different. Mine was a Stacks press release while yours is a US Mint press release.
I will not be buying these... From my collecting perspective, I see no unique lure that would enhance my collection. Cheers, RickO
Details on PCGS involvement can be found here.
If anyone is planning to participate, the article indicates that SBG is "waiving" the buyer's premium.
