How in the world is this eBay seller getting away with this??!!
![justmenutty72](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/userpics/5YNVUJLS6T31/nZWNTBS8QQNSY.jpg)
I posted this in another thread, but felt it was worthy of its own thread. I notified eBay of both of these and they did absolutely nothing. These are from a seller who has been mixing in fakes with legit coins for YEARS. If you go back into his feedback you’ll find negs stating that coins were counterfeit. How the hell is this guy getting away with this?! I have reported him MANY times and nothing is ever done. Click on the link beneath each set of pics to see what they went for. Disgusting 😡🤬😠

eBay isn't banning because of fees collected by them
Also because there are tons of false reports.
Caveat emptor has to be the rule, unfortunately.
ETA: Wow, his "Item as described" DSR is 5.0!
He's got a ton of rarities. Must be nice.
I wonder if this (slabbed) gold coin is legit:

Looking at his feedback it looks like he only sells a few fakes a year... Enough to stay above 99% positive.

if the purchaser is not very advanced, how long would it take them to find out?
We'll for me personally I take them immediately to a local expert... Anything with any value. Anyone who's not as experienced may never find out.

The "File a Report" feature doesn't work very good.![:/ :/](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/confused.png)
It takes many reports to get them to look at it, that is why we need members here to help.
There are several members here that can help get active counterfeit listings removed, when you see them post them here.
If you are the only one that files a report it will not be removed.
These are from a seller who has been mixing in fakes with legit coins for YEARS.
These are the sellers that are harder to stop, they know how to work the system.
About the only thing you can do is follow their listings and get any bad ones removed quickly.

Check out this sellers negative feedback, it is very hard to get them to take any action against these sellers.![:/ :/](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/confused.png)

The pages in the OP have been pulled completely... So ebay did take action. Cheers, RickO
He's still at it:

Every time I see a thread about E-Bay sellers I have to read it to see if it's about me.

This is why if I buy coins on eBay, I buy ONLY coins slabbed and graded by NGC or PCGS. Too many crooks out there.
One can live in fear, or one can be educated. I strive for the latter, have bought numerous ungraded and graded coins over the years from many sellers, never a fake. Do your homework, that is much better time spent.
I agree. But, even then, you have to be careful. Lots of counterfeit slabs, too.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

I’ve said this multiple times in the past. Unless you’re an expert unless you like to gamble don’t buy expensive raw coins anywhere.
A given, still doesn't mean this fool shouldn't be shut down.
They need more qualified people to chase down the fraudulent listings which are only getting worse. Bottom line: they need to penalize fake item listers economically.
