My Latest Error

I admire and enjoy error coins, although I rarely purchase them for some reason. I did come upon this one and wanted it. So dramatic looking. I know in the scheme of things- and as far as error coins go, it isn't rare- I just liked the look of it.

neat error and it looks like it may have been struck through another flan from the way the reverse second strike is bleeding in the design. most likely an unstruck flan.

The second strike is an off center, uniface, stretch strike. Very cool.

That is very cool. The way it was struck you can see all the obverse detail but one part upside down.

Great pickup, I really like it. Not understanding the terminology as it appears, why the D/S label, I thought it was a Philadelphia Strike?

Jim, just in case others don't know, you are kidding: The D/S is "Double Strike" not Denver/San Fransisco.
