Is this legit?

Has anyone seen one of these OGH legitimately with an off label like this with it being opened/faked? This just seems off... Am I right about this?

That’s a coin that I would steer clear of, looks very wrong and not a nice coin

    I've seen labels off before.

Yes I agree. Was just curious about the label issue. I would never buy that.

Yeah, it’s obviously been opened with the label looking like that

I've seen them like that before. Even got one fresh that had a label like that. So, I disagree that it has obviously been messed with.

    Good to know. For future.

Ok, thanks, I’ve never seen one like that though

I also disagree, as neither the holder, itself, nor the coin, look suspect.

I've seen this before. If you tap the side of the slab, the label may move back into its rectangular recess in the slab shell.

I've owned this one for years.

I saw one with the label off center like that at a show in the PNW years ago. I questioned it and the dealer picked it up and rapped it on his table, the label moved back in position. Cheers, RickO

Ok, good to know. I would be totally suspicious of it though if I saw that because of the fake slab threads

PCGs pop on this coin is 112,336 in 64! I would think you could find a coin in a problem free holder. Good luck.

@No Headlights yeah I could care less about the coin. Was more curious about the holder. Apparently it's not too uncommon with the OGH's, and can sometimes be easily rectified by a tap according to others.
